Job summary

RiverView Health in Crookston, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Aide for full-time work to keep hospital and clinic areas clean and safe. The role supports patient safety and a positive healthcare experience by performing cleaning tasks across patient rooms, offices, and public spaces.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Ensure all areas are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Notify supervisor on any damage, deficits, or disturbances.
• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies.

Environmental Services Aid - Full‑time

Location:HospitalPosition Status: Non‑Exempt – Full‑Time (1.0 fte); subject to over‑time

Schedule:Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $17.69 - $22.88 /per hour (DOE - based on experience) - benefitted

The full‑time (1.0 fte) - Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing cleaning and disinfecting duties to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital and clinic facilities. The aide ensures patient rooms, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces meet hospital standards for cleanliness and infection prevention. This role plays a critical part in supporting patient safety and a positive healthcare experience. Some of the responsibilities include:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
• Emptying trash cans and replacing liners
• Ensure all areas are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Notifying supervisor on any damage, deficit(s), and/or disturbances
• Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies
• Follow all policy, health, and safety regulations
• Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital regulations
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Completing assigned work orders
• Preparing rooms for new patients, ensuring that all surfaces, equipment and linens are clean
• Cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, ensuring that they meet health and safety standards
• Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods

Qualifications

Minimum(s):

• One+ years of experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
• Experience working with various cleaning equipment and tools

Preferred(s):

• High School diploma/GED is preferred
• Experience with written and verbal communication
• Computer experience – Microsoft Office products
• Valid Driver’s License
