RiverView Health is seeking a Clinical RN – Pain Management for full-time work in Crookston, MN, with occasional travel to East Grand Forks clinics. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient Pain Management setting, supporting physicians, APPs, and the care team.

The role requires MN RN licensure, ND licensure within four months, BLS, and ACLS (training offered if needed). Weekend availability is required, and compensation ranges from $31.50 to $40.75 per hour

Qualifications

• BLS certified; ACLS required or training provided within 12 months.
• Minnesota RN license required; ND licensure must be acquired within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care through assessment, monitoring, and individualized plans of care.
• Support physicians and APPs with visits, examinations, treatments, and patient flow.
• Assist with pain management procedures, including patient prep, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Provide clinical triage for patients by phone, messaging, and in person, escalating concerns as needed.
• Support safe medication management through reconciliation, refills, education, and communication with providers.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient care with providers and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record.

Responsibilities

Clinical RN – Pain Management (Full-Time)

Position Status: .9 fte (72 hours per pay period)

Location: Crookston & East Grand Forks Clinics; travel will be required

Schedule: 72hours per two-week pay period; must be able to work weekend schedule (every 12th weekend

Salary Range: $31.50 - $40.75 /per hour (based on experience)

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care and clinical support to the Pain Management Physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an outpatient clinic setting. The RN supports safe, efficient, patient-centered care for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain and other conditions treated by the Pain Management providers. The RN collaborates with providers and other healthcare team members to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

In this role, what you'll do:

• Provide patient-centered nursing care through assessment, monitoring, and implementation of individualized plans of care.
• Support physicians and APPs with clinic visits, examinations, treatments, and efficient patient flow.
• Assist with pain management procedures, including patient preparation, clinical support, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Provide clinical triage for patients by phone, electronic messaging, and in person, escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Support safe medication management through medication reconciliation, refill coordination, patient education, and communication with providers.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, procedures, follow-up care, and managing their health.
• Coordinate patient care with providers and other healthcare team members to ensure safe, high-quality, and seamless care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation of assessments, interventions, education, and patient communications in the electronic health record.
• Promote quality and patient safety by following clinical standards, infection prevention practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to effective clinic operations by collaborating with the care team, supporting patient flow, and helping create a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Minimum(s):

• Current State of Minnesota RN license isrequired. State of ND RN licensure must be acquired with four months of hire.
• Current American Heart BLS certification isrequired. If not currently certified, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months of date of hire.

• Current American Heart ACLS certification isrequired. If not ACLS certified, we will train within the first year.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of Clinic experience

• Knowledge of chronic and acute pain-management principles.
• Understanding of controlled-medication workflows and the RN's role within those workflows.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while working with patients experiencing complex chronic conditions.
• Ability to function effectively as part of a Physician/APP/RN interdisciplinary team.
