Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (ORLC) in Kirkland, Washington, is seeking pastoral leadership to help guide a renewed mission in the local community. For more than five decades, our church building- dedicated in 1969- has stood in the heart of the Kingsgate neighborhood, a long-establishedresidential area filled with families, high ranking schools, and community life. Located just across Lake Washington from Seattle, Kirkland is a vibrant suburb with a strong professional population, including many families working in the tech and healthcare industries. ORLC has been a steady presence for generations, and now we are looking toward the future with hope and purpose.
ORLC is a confessional Lutheran congregation, affiliated with the AFLC and LCMC, and blessed with a debt-free property and a core of committed members. Following the retirement of a long-tenured pastor and the departure of our most recent pastor in 2023, the congregation is eager to refocus on outreach, community engagement, and Gospel-centered ministry.
The Kirkland area- with its younger demographic, strong families, and vibrant neighborhoods- presents a significant opportunity for mission and relationship-building. ORLC is well-planted; the next chapter calls for pastoral leadership that feels drawn to cultivating and developing missionwithin this dynamic and growing community.
If God may be calling you to mission work right here at home, we invite you to connect with us. We are open to full-time or bi-vocational pastoral leadership.
David J. Lund, Retired pastor (206) 963-9848
