Job summary

Canvas II, LLC. seeks a Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Lead Systems Engineer to support NAVWAR work at Arnold AFB, TN. You will lead development and coordinate TSPI reference system T&E, while mentoring staff and establishing standardized PNT test processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, 5+ years in PNT and T&E, and the ability to obtain an active DoD clearance. Travel up to 10% may be required, and US citizenship is needed.

Job Title: Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Lead Systems EngineerLocation: Arnold AFB, Tullahoma, TN (On-Site)Canvas is seeking a Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Lead Systems Engineer to support its NAVWAR work with the Test Squadron at Arnold AFB, TN. The successful candidate will assist the development and coordination of the squadron’s Time, Space, Position Information (TSPI) reference system, while mentoring other staff members, helping establish standardized PNT Test & Evaluation (T&E) processes, and manage/oversee high-visibility projects under the Long-Range Kill Chain (LRKC) initiative.Duties/ResponsibilitiesLead development efforts and coordinate T&E efforts associated with a TSPI reference systemBy virtue of deep knowledge/understanding of PNT, mentor other members of the workforceEstablish standardized processes necessary for testing of advanced DoW and commercial PNT systemsDirect high-visibility projects under the LRKC initiative (beginning in FY27 if/when funding is realized), helping expand PNT test capabilities over the next decadeJob RequirementsMust possess bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline; master’s degree highly desirableMust have minimum 5 years of experience in both PNT systems and T&E projects; experience working at a DoD installation highly desirableMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer interaction and presentation abilities requiredMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlinesMust be able to work independently and as a part of a teamMust possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.Must be willing to travel as required (up to 10%)Must be a US citizen
