Job summary

Becton Dickinson NA is seeking a Fillroom operator to work in a clean room producing Posiflush syringes. You will supervise the machine, perform quality checks, maintain the workspace, and collaborate with the team to meet production rates while following BD quality systems and safety regulations.

Strong reading/writing in English and reliable attendance are required. Preferred is a High School diploma or GED; alternatively, three years of manufacturing experience will be considered.

• In lieu of HS diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment at or above established standards, maintaining quality and GMP.
• Monitor product quality and equipment performance.
• Make adjustments to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or troubleshooting.
• Keep machinery, area and floors clean and orderly per GMP.

Position Summary

Position Summary: The Fillroom operator will work in a clean room and produce Posiflush syringes by overseeing their machine, doing quality checks, cleaning their area and working together with the team to manufacture quality product at the specified rate. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in assigned operations listed below and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required.
