Job summary

Universal Processing LLC (uP) seeks a technically skilled POS Systems Specialist for an onsite role in Flushing, NY. You will interact directly with clients, support sales efforts, and troubleshoot POS hardware/software.

The role requires a technical background, client-facing work, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Training and growth opportunities are offered with comprehensive benefits and a probation period.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US; E-Verify employer.
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese - Mandarin required (reading and writing).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Networking or related field is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience with POS systems is required.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
• Able to listen actively and interact with clients in a friendly, patient manner.
• Able to take initiative to solve problems effectively.
• Self-motivated to learn new systems and install products.
• Able to meet deadlines and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install, and configure software and hardware for deployment.
• Onboard and train new users for newly deployed software and hardware.
• Perform remote troubleshooting over the phone and via remote control tools.
• Identify and analyze issues for software and/or hardware.
• Partner with Operations and Sales to provide best solutions for POS inquiries.
• Collect feedback from end-users and work with Development for product improvements.
• Assist in inventory tracking and management.

Compensation: This is an non-exempt position, with a salary range offered between $55,000 - $60,000 annually. This role has a mandatory probation period.

Role Summary: The POS Systems Specialist role is a fully onsite position 5 days a week in our Flushing, NY office. This position is a critical role that interacts directly with our clients, supports our sales effort, and troubleshoots our systems.

This role requires a technical background. You will be expected to perform client-facing work, alongside troubleshooting for our clients.

A Day in the Life of a Technical Support

Responsibilities

• Prepare, install, and configure software & hardware for deployment
• Onboard and train new users for newly deployed software and hardware
• Perform remote troubleshooting over the phone and through remote control tools
• Identify and analyze issues for software and/or hardware
• Partner with the Operations and Sales departments to provide the best solution for POS inquiries
• Collect feedback from end-users and work with the Development team for future product improvement
• Assist in inventory tracking and management

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese - Mandarin is required, both reading and writing included.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Administration, or related field is a plus
• 1-2 years of experience withPOS systems is required.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail-oriented, and analytical abilities.
• Able to actively listen to clients and interact with clients in a friendly and patient manner
• Able to take initiative to solve problem effectively
• Self-motivated to learn new systems and installation of products
• Able to accomplish tasks before deadlines and be detail-oriented
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team and as an individual
• Proficient with Excel and Word
