Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Maintain awareness of cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and pricing discrepancies.
• Stay current with ads, promotions and safety rules; ensure food safety compliance.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to management; assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and help customers with product questions across the store.
