Job summary

Three Bears Alaska, Inc. is seeking a POS/Receiving PIC to maintain accurate store pricing and supervise the POS/Receiving/Auditing team. You will handle back‑door receiving, price updates, and daily verification tasks in a hands‑on retail environment in Alaska.

The role requires forklift certification, ability to verify pricing with POS software, and experience in receiving logs, invoices, and BOL processing. Evening/weekend work is expected.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required and must be maintained.
• Accurate pricing and pricing signage management is essential.
• Ability to scan/verify pricing with POS systems and take corrective action.
• Receive goods and process invoices in POS/receiving systems.
• Maintain receiving logs and ensure invoices are entered promptly.
• Sign Bills of Lading for freight and verify its accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise team members in the POS/Receiving/Auditing Department.
• Ensure invoices are entered into POS system within 36 hours of receiving.
• Scan invoices and receivers to corporate Y-Drive before 10 am.
• Input receiving data, price changes, and verify pricing in POS.
• Create price change batches and price maintenance lists per corporate directions.
• Convey purchase information to Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Maintain back room security and authorized access only.
• Compile vendor invoice details (description, cost, quantity, vendor, dept) for pricing submission.
• Track and report TP reduction/extension decisions to management.

POS/Receiving PICs maintain accurate pricing throughout the store., conveys information on new items and deals to corporate for pricing. Checks in and verifies all products through the back door. Schedules and supervises team members in the POS/Receiving/Auditing Department.

Required Skills/Abilities

• PICs are required to successfully complete forklift certification training and must maintain certification for the duration of employment.
• Prints and replaces pricing signage from batches or manual lists.
• Uses electronic device to scan and verify pricing, taking corrective action when needed.
• Uses computer and POS software to receive in products at the back door and produces receivers to verify pricing.
• Ensures that invoices have been received into POS software system and listed on the receiving log within 36 hours of receiving the product
• Scans all invoices, receiving logs, and receivers to corporate Y-Drive before 10 am.
• Verifies and signs Bill of Lading for freight received.
• Tracks purchases on receiving log and conveys that information to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Uses computer and POS software to input receiving, print price changes, print signs, and verify correct pricing.
• Using vendor invoices, compiles pertinent information including description, case cost, case quantity, vendor, size, department and sub department for submittal to corporate pricing.
• Assures that all price change batches are complete and accurate.
• Creates a list of ending TPR’s for Store Manager to review for extension or removal.
• Ensures security of back room product and that only authorized personnel enter the back room.
• Creates batches or lists at the direction of Corporate Office, Store Manager, or Assistant Store Manager for purposes of price maintenance or special projects.
  

Experience/Education

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 2 years retail experience preferred
• Customer service, math, computer skills preferred.

Working Environment

Work is performed in a store setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 10 pounds below waist, up to 50 pounds at waist/chest and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds above shoulders.
