Job summary

POSRG in Illinois seeks a POS Technician to test, troubleshoot, repair, and configure all types of POS equipment. The candidate should be proficient in PC hardware and basic office software, with strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities include testing, configuring units, performing extended testing, and handling schematics. Experience with IBM, NCR, Micros, Epson is a plus. A+ Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or college courses; 2-year electronics degree is a plus.
• Experience with IBM, NCR, Micros, Epson is a plus.
• A+ Certification.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot and configure all types of POS equipment.
• Perform extended testing for all units.
• Test computers and related parts using diagnostic software.
• Disassemble and reassemble various pieces of equipment.
• Soldering skills a plus.
