Job summary

Aramark Corporation is seeking a friendly cashier to join our team in Washington, DC. The role involves greeting guests, processing transactions, balancing cash, and delivering excellent customer service throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include accurate cash handling, operating the register, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while stocking merchandise as needed. Prior cash handling and customer service experience are preferred to help support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and counting skills required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out cashier slip and make deposits.
• Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of merchandise to assist customers and process transactions.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at end of shift.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
