Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in environmental services/housekeeping or laundry.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and laundry practices.
• Interpersonal skills to work with others and communicate with other departments.
• Ability to follow Universal Precautions, Infection Control and Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates required cleaning procedures per Job Procedures for assigned work area(s).
• Demonstrates proper waste-disposal procedures per Environmental Services policy.
• Follows verbal, written, and pictorial instructions.
• Operates and cares for housekeeping equipment safely as listed in the Equipment List.
• Identifies needs for building repairs in assigned hospital work areas.
• Manages supplies, par levels, and distribution of housekeeping supplies.
