Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. in Portland, OR is hiring a Part-Time Branch Sales Associate (30 hours) to connect with walk-in customers, drive sales, and support warehouse tasks. You will report to the Branch Manager and help with merchandising, inventory, and ensuring Grainger standards are met.

The role requires flexibility within branch hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating warehouse equipment. The target start date is January 3, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle.
• Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style to differing audiences in email, phone, or in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders/shipping product.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away other stock received.
• Help with merchandising and replenish showroom stock.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards.
• Agree to safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
