Our client is a leading, well known, Fund (Buy-Side) based in NYC seeking a Senior Associate to join their growing Portfolio Analytics Team. This individual will be responsible for working with Firms' Data/ Trading Analytics and providing insightful data bases models to support recommendations. Ideal candidate must possess superior Data skills (Python/VBA/SQL), or other data analysis tools with ability to use market data to create market research

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and analyze portfolio/market data, benchmark performance and risk statistics (advanced Python and Excel)
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial market data using Python/SQL, providing actionable recommendations
• Provide data-driven Insights for Leadership team
• This role will be responsible for continuously enhancing firm's risk monitoring process
• Prepare financial models and data using specialized tools; SQL/PYTHON
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver actionable insights through dashboards and reports, supporting the development of innovative, market-leading solutions
• Work with all levels of team members across the organization to help coordinate data feeds for various internal and external databases, in effort to ensure the integrity and consistency of portfolio data reported across client reporting systems
• Review and make necessary adjustments to client quarterly reports to ensure reports are sent out in a timely manner
• Provide various ad hoc data research and analysis as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• CFA or CFA in progress preferred
• Advanced Proficiency in PYTHON/SQL
• Technical knowledge using market data analytics tools (Factset/Bloomberg/IDC etc) and prior experience using CRMs (Salesforce)
• Outstanding communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dead-line driven dynamic environment
