Job summary

Summit seeks an experienced Financial Portfolio Manager in Washington, DC (Hybrid) to lead asset management, loan restructuring due diligence, and financial analysis for energy, utility, and infrastructure assets. You will review financial statements, build models, assess repayment capacity, and prepare client-ready narratives.

Five to ten years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree are required; federal energy and infrastructure finance exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, public policy, energy policy, engineering, or a similar program.
• Five to ten years of experience in financial underwriting, loan restructuring, portfolio or asset management, credit analysis, or related roles.
• Ability to independently evaluate complex financial statements, cash flow, and credit risk.
• Working knowledge of energy, utility, or infrastructure asset considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead or independently perform portfolio or asset management and loan restructuring due diligence for energy, utility, and infrastructure assets.
• Review financial statements, models, budgets, debt schedules, and cost documentation to assess capacity.
• Evaluate reasonableness of asset investments, financing structures, revenues, and operating costs.
• Analyze borrower creditworthiness, liquidity, leverage, cash flow, and risks.
• Identify gaps and risks, and propose practical paths for resolution.
• Prepare client-ready credit narratives, risk assessments, and recommendation memoranda.
• Review junior staff work and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to achieve underwriting standards.
