Summit Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced Financial Portfolio Manager in Washington, DC to support federal energy and infrastructure finance work. 5–10 years of asset or portfolio management experience is required; duties include due diligence, financial analysis, and underwriting in a hybrid, in-office setting.

The role emphasizes asset-level evaluation, documentation quality, and client-ready narratives.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of experience in financial underwriting, loan restructuring, portfolio or asset management, credit analysis, or related analytical roles.
• Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate complex financial statements, cash flow, credit risk, repayment capacity, and supporting documentation.
• Experience with energy, utility, or infrastructure asset finance contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or independently perform portfolio or asset management, due diligence for energy, utility, and infrastructure assets.
• Review financial statements, models, budgets, debt schedules, and asset costs to assess capacity.
• Evaluate financial reasonableness of asset investments, including capital costs and financing structures.
• Analyze borrower creditworthiness, liquidity, leverage, and cash flow to identify material risks.
• Identify documentation gaps and suggest practical paths for underwriting improvement.
• Prepare client-ready credit narratives and decision-support materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior analysts and ensure underwriting deliverables are accurate and consistent.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to meet processing goals.
