Job summary

Kimley-Horn seeks a Portfolio Manager to guide our Finance Transformation program, driving governance, reporting, automation, data insights, and organizational change across initiatives.

You will partner with Finance and key stakeholders to ensure prioritization, alignment, and measurable business value through cross-functional leadership, transparent communications, and structured program oversight. This role is not remote and is based in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, PMO, business transformation, consulting, operational excellence, or related disciplines.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Finance Transformation intake, prioritization, governance, and portfolio reporting.
  • Maintain visibility into transformation initiatives, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and business outcomes.
  • Develop executive presentations, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive change management activities, including communications, readiness planning, training support, and adoption tracking.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment among Finance, Technology, Data, and business stakeholders.
  • Track portfolio performance, benefits realization, and key transformation metrics.
  • Lead selected transformation initiatives, pilots, or strategic projects requiring dedicated project or program leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement of transformation processes, governance practices, and operating models.

Job description

Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Portfolio Manager to support our growing Finance Transformation program. This role will help drive strategic initiatives across process improvement, automation, AI, data, and organizational change by providing portfolio governance, executive reporting, change management, and project leadership.

Partnering closely with Finance leaders and key stakeholders, the Portfolio Manager will help ensure transformation efforts are prioritized, aligned, well-governed, and deliver measurable business value.

This is not a remote position.

  • Experience supporting Finance, Shared Services, Transformation, Strategy, or PMO organizations.
  • Experience with portfolio management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Microsoft Planner, Jira, or Smartsheet.
