Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis across equities, fixed income, options, and alternative investments using fundamental, technical, and quantitative methodologies.
  • Execute portfolio transactions across equities, fixed income, options, and mutual funds, while ensuring accurate trade processing and reconciliation.
  • Lead firmwide trading and portfolio implementation initiatives, including strategy rebalancing, options management, hedging strategies, and cash management solutions for sophisticated clients.
  • Present investment recommendations and market insights to Partners and the investment committee for implementation consideration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support portfolio management system enhancements, workflow improvements, and technology implementations.
Client/Relationship Management:
  • Manage client portfolios (personal or institutional) in alignment with established investment guidelines and objectives.
  • Develop investment policy statements and regularly review portfolios to ensure alignment with client objectives and risk tolerances.
  • Collaborate with advisors, account administrators, and support staff to deliver proactive communication and exceptional client service.
  • Participate in client and prospective client meetings, prepare investment and portfolio reviews, and maintain strong client relationships.
Investment Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and assist in placing securities trades through communications with approved broker/dealers.
  • Coordinate with broker/dealers, custodians, and internal operations teams to facilitate efficient portfolio implementation and reporting processes.
Business Development
  • Contribute to business development initiatives by supporting meetings with prospective clients, referral partners, and centers of influence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment management, trading, or financial analysis within wealth management.
  • CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter preferred.
  • Proven experience with equity, fixed income, options, and derivatives trading.
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets, portfolio construction, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with portfolio management, reporting, and trading platforms such as Tamarac, Addepar, and EZE, as well as financial custodian platforms including Fidelity, Schwab, Goldman Sachs, and Robinhood.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client relationships.
  • Knowledge of cash management, hedging strategies, and income-oriented investment solutions.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, automation, and AI-enabled investment tools.
