The Anderson Search Group has been engaged by a well-established regional financial institution to identify an experienced Portfolio Manager to join its growing Wealth Management division.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an investment professional who wants to do more than simply manage portfolios. The Portfolio Manager serves as a trusted advisor to affluent and high-net-worth clients, partnering closely with Wealth Advisors, Private Bankers, Trust professionals, and Financial Planners to deliver sophisticated investment solutions and an exceptional client experience.

This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you'll spend significant time meeting with clients, explaining investment strategy, discussing portfolio performance, participating in business development efforts, and helping grow long-term wealth relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage customized investment portfolios for affluent, high-net-worth, and institutional client relationships.
- Develop and implement investment strategies based on client objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, tax considerations, and long-term financial goals.
- Construct and actively manage portfolios through:
- Asset allocation
- Security selection
- Meet regularly with clients to discuss:
- Market conditions
- Economic outlook
- Long-term planning objectives
- Explain complex investment concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Partner closely with Wealth Advisors, Private Bankers, Trust Officers, Financial Planners, and other specialists to deliver integrated wealth management solutions.
- Participate in prospective client meetings and assist with new business development.
- Help identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and expand assets under management.
- Contribute to investment research, portfolio strategy, and investment committee discussions.
- Ensure all investment decisions meet fiduciary standards, regulatory requirements, and prudent investment practices.
- Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining strong investment discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
- Approximately 6–10+ years of experience as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Manager, Securities Analyst, Investment Strategist, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing portfolios for affluent or high-net-worth clients.Strong understanding of:
- Asset allocation
- Security markets
- Economic analysis
- Fiduciary investing
- Trust standards
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with Wealth Advisors, Private Bankers, Trust Officers, or Relationship Managers.
- Familiarity with institutional investment platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Advent, Moxy, fi360, or similar tools.
- Professional designations strongly preferred, including:
- CFA
- CMT
- MBA or other advanced investment credentials
Compensation
Generous base salary depending on experience, credentials, and overall fit.
