Role Summary

The Portfolio Management Specialist will be a key part of Electrify America’s Real Estate Planning and Acquisition team and will be responsible for managing all accounts with land owners, retail brands and real estate developers and brokers. They will leverage the group’s analytical tools, including various research metrics and geospatial resources to vet and develop leads with potential EV charging site hosts and manage relationships throughout the business development cycle. The Portfolio Management Specialist will be responsible for developing presentation materials and engaging with real estate account executives on the benefits of EV charging for various site applications and dwell times. They will assist in negotiating terms with accounts on site access and maintain strong relationships throughout the contracting, installation, commissioning and operational phases. The Portfolio Management Specialist will track all real estate business development activities via the company’s CRM tool and present progress frequently to senior management to ensure KPIs are being achieved. They also work closely with site hosts to help drive additional driver and customer engagement opportunities using innovative advertising, sales and ancillary service models.

Role Responsibilities

Main responsibility – assign % of time spent

  • Leverages site planning and research to identify leads and target strategic regional and national retail, hospitality, restaurant, REIT, commercial property and other site host partners for placement of EV charging infrastructure. (15%)
  • Recommend new real estate partnerships through B2B outreach, attending networking events, close coordination with states and municipalities, working with real estate brokers and facilitating leads from other groups within Electrify America. (15%)
  • Project Manage all strategic site host communication throughout the entire business development cycle, ensuring a consistent message to various team members, including Charging Operations field team. Facilitates communication and interaction between field team and real estate accounts as needed. (10%)
  • Leads presentations and pitches to prospective site host by developing professional collaterals and presentation materials. Acts as a source of knowledge on the EV industry and related charging products and services. (10%)
  • Identifies additional driver engagement opportunities for Electrify America through working collaboratively with site hosts on innovative advertising, co-marketing, sales promotions and potential ancillary service models. (10%)
  • Manages CRM tool to track and monitor all real estate leads and opportunities through business development cycle. Tracks key KPIs and presents progress frequently to senior management. (10%)
  • Maintains strong relationships with large workplace campuses, commercial and multi-unit dwelling real estate developers to identify opportunities for ‘make-readies’ on new construction projects to lower the complexity and cost of EV charging equipment installation. (10%)
  • Supports Manager for Real Estate Acquisition in negotiating land access deal terms including lease agreements, licensing arrangements and/or purchase contracts ensuring adherence to industry benchmarks. (5%)
  • Remains in frequent contact with site host clients maintaining strong relationships throughout and after installation, commissioning and operation of charging infrastructure. (5%)
  • Responds to site host complaints and resolves customer/driver issues to ensure the preservation of the account relationship and Electrify America’s reputation. (5%)
  • Facilitates in-bound inquiries from interested site hosts and works with Site Planning and Acquisition to vet viability of locations and eligibility for investment. (5%)
