Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking a Portfolio Management Assistant to support daily portfolio operations, trade-readiness, and rebalance activity in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers, internal operations, vendors, and Distribution partners to ensure accurate and timely portfolio processing.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily portfolio validation and monitoring processes, including validation checks, automated reporting review, cash position tracking, and flow monitoring to ensure accurate portfolio operations.
• Identify and escalation portfolio issues requiring immediate attention to minimize operational risk and support timely resolution.
• Implement portfolio rebalance scheduling in preparation for trading activities.
• Support trading and rebalancing activity by raising orders in order management systems and acting as a second set of eyes for Portfolio Managers.
• Execute market orders and manage corporate actions to support accurate and efficient portfolio activity.
• Communicate with external business partners, vendors, internal operations teams, and counterparties to support smooth daily operations.
• Troubleshoot settlement issues, monitor partial fills, and coordinate follow-ups to resolve operational breaks.
• Drive process improvement and documentation initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, developing standard operating procedures, and maintaining process documentation to support business continuity.
• Review client proposals to ensure data integrity before sending to Distribution partners.
