Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Portfolio Management Associate Director to support Financial Advisors and teams in delivering premier client service and investment strategy execution. You will create investment activity reporting and help communicate market conditions to clients.

Key duties include asset allocation adjustments, client reporting, research support, and participation in client meetings. Strong licenses and leadership are required to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a field relevant to the position.
  • Active Series 7 (GS) and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required.
  • Additional product licenses may be required.
  • Strong compliance record.
  • Knowledge of financial services products including equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Enter new or adjust existing asset allocations and input trades.
  • Prepare and review client reports from firm-approved systems for existing or prospective clients.
  • Assist with research using firm-approved systems.
  • Participate in client meetings, representing the service lens.
  • Update clients’ estate, trust, retirement, and insurance objectives.
  • Support digital and in-person marketing efforts (conferences, seminars, webinars, websites, social media, emails).
  • Provide feedback to Portfolio Management partners on tools and resources.
  • Review new client prospects developed through leads and referrals with the FA/PWA/team.

POSITION SUMMARYPortfolio Management (PM) Associate Directors provide exceptional service to our clients and support Financial Advisor(s) (FAs)/ Private Wealth Advisor(s) (PWAs)/ teams on a daily basis. As senior members of the service team, they assist FAs/PWAs/teams with the development and execution of investment strategies based on client goals. Leading with a client first mindset, a successful candidate for this role will have strong interpersonal skills and their focus will be on delivering an exceptional client experience. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
