Job summary

Jump Trading Group is expanding its Global Treasury function to optimize financing across a multi-asset book, including equity and credit portfolios. You will own US financing portfolios, negotiate terms, and work with technology teams to automate reporting and decision-making.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in portfolio finance, treasury concepts, and a track record in trading or quantitative environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related areas.
• 5+ years on buy/sell side in Portfolio Finance, Delta One Trading, Repo, or Stock Loan, or similar support role.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage US financing portfolios and borrowing costs.
• Negotiate financing terms with counterparties and optimize cross-asset financing.
• Partner with tech teams to build reporting and scalable tooling.
• Support regional Treasurers and Cash/Collateral management across regions.
• Provide PnL analyses and cost allocation insights for regional teams.
• Develop new funding structures and automation initiatives.

The Global Treasury Team is looking to expand the Portfolio Finance function. In this role, you will play a leading part in managing the daily financing of the firm and help drive the next iteration of Treasury within Jump, owning the optimization of the firm’s financing across a multi-asset book and the relationships with our key counterparties. You will also interact with both the APAC and EMEA teams – and will interact with all levels of various departments throughout the global organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and manage US financing portfolios, borrow rates, sourcing of locates and refinancing of the firm’s equity and credit portfolios
• Optimize the financing activities of the firm across asset classes
• Negotiate and own general financing and margin terms with our key counterparties
• Partner closely with our technology teams to build out reporting and tooling that makes financing decisions obvious and scales the function efficiently
• Assist US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Group Treasurers in all aspects of cash and collateral management
• Deal in foreign exchange and other money market instruments
• Provide regional trade team analysis regarding PnL and cost allocations
• Work closely with Risk and other Back Office functions in supporting daily trading activities
• Drive the identification and development of new procedures, funding structures and automation of processes related to the function
• Provide regional treasury leadership on new business initiatives in the US
• Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You’ll Need:

• Minimum academic level of bachelor’s degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related areas
• At least 5 years of experience on the buy or sell side in a Portfolio Finance, Delta One Trading, Repo or Stock Loan role, or experience supporting these desks in a technical/quant strats role with an interest in moving into more of a business facing role
• Technically fluent using Python or other programming languages
• Sound understanding of treasury and cash management concepts
• Solid understanding of financial markets and different asset classes
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines
• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; an ability to communicate both technical and business content effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and predictable availability

Annual Base Salary Range $225,000 — $250,000 USD
