Job summary

Jump Trading Group seeks a Portfolio Finance professional to manage the firm’s daily financing activities and contribute to expanding Treasury capabilities globally. You will support US financing portfolios, manage collateral and margins, and build automation tools to scale reporting.

Your strong Python skills, treasury knowledge, and excellent English communication will help you collaborate with APAC and EMEA teams while contributing to the firm’s objectives and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, CS or related fields.
• At least 2 years of buy/sell side Portfolio Finance or related desks experience.
• Proficient in Python or other programming languages.
• Strong treasury/cash management understanding.
• Knowledge of financial markets and asset classes.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management of US financing portfolios and financing operations.
• Manage collateral and margin operations across counterparties.
• Build tooling to automate reporting and daily workflows.
• Assist Treasurers in cash and collateral management across regions (US/Europe/Asia Pacific).
• Analyze and optimize global finance activities.
• Deal in FX and money market instruments.
• Assist in PnL analysis and cost allocations for trading teams.

• Collaborate with Risk and Back Office on daily trading support.

The Global Treasury Team is looking to expand the Portfolio Finance function. In this role, you will play an important part in managing the daily financing of the firm and assist in helping develop the next iteration of Treasury within Jump. You will also interact with both the APAC and EMEA teams – and will interact with all levels of various departments throughout the global organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the daily management of US financing portfolios, borrow rates, sourcing of locates and refinancing of the firm’s equity and credit portfolios
• Manage collateral and margin operations, ensuring the firm’s obligations are met efficiently across counterparties
• Build out tooling that automates reporting and daily workflows to help scale the financing function
• Assist US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Group Treasurers in all aspects of cash and collateral management
• Assist with the analysis and optimization of the global finance activities of the firm
• Deal in foreign exchange and other money market instruments
• Assist in trading team analysis regarding PnL and cost allocations
• Negotiate and manage margin terms with our key counterparties
• Work closely with Risk and other Back Office functions in supporting daily trading activities
• Assist in the identification and development of new procedures and automation of processes related to the function
• Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You’ll Need:

• Minimum academic level of bachelor’s degree in STEM, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related areas
• At least 2 years of experience on the buy or sell side in a Portfolio Finance, Delta One Trading, Repo or Stock Loan role, or experience supporting these desks in a technical/quant strats role with an interest in moving into more of a business facing role
• Technically fluent using Python or other programming languages
• Sound understanding of treasury and cash management concepts
• Solid understanding of financial markets and different asset classes
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines
• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Reliable and predictable availability

Annual Base Salary Range

$175,000 — $200,000 USD
