Job description

About Initio Sphere

Initio Sphere is a full-service private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We support fund managers, investors, operators, and finance professionals across private markets by unifying deal flow, analyst talent, investor relations, diligence support, training, and career placement into a single platform.

Our mission is to create real opportunity, credibility, and earning power for serious private capital professionals. Verified analysts are not placed “on a bench”—once approved, they can begin earning immediately on live deals and active portfolios across the network.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is onboarding qualified finance professionals to serve as Certified Portfolio & Deal Analysts, supporting both transaction-level execution and ongoing portfolio analysis for investors, fund managers, and operators.

This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through a structured certification, verification, and approval process.

  • Support live transactions and post-close portfolio analysis
  • Work directly with investors, fund managers, and operators
  • Gain access to paid analytical work tied to real assets and portfolios
  • Are promoted within the platform based on performance and reliability
  • Build a verified deal and portfolio track record with an Analyst Rating Score

Rating Score: 90–100

Compensation: $150–$200/hour

Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, real estate development, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of deal and portfolio experience

Rating Score: 80–89

Compensation: $100–$150/hour

Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of transaction, portfolio monitoring, or modeling experience

Rating Score: 60–79

Compensation: $50–$100/hour

Typical Background: Entry- to mid-level analysts with strong technical skills and demonstrated analytical performance

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

  • DCF and LBO modeling

  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
  • Investment committee and transaction memo support

  • Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training
  • Get verified and activated on the platform
  • Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal or portfolio work
  • There is no cold applying and no unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and sponsors seeking analytical support.

To qualify as a Portfolio & Deal Analyst, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
  • Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
  • Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Each analyst is assigned a proprietary 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Platform visibility and promotion priority
  • Approved work categories
  • Recommended hourly compensation range
  • Scores are dynamically adjusted based on performance quality, accuracy, and reliability.
Compensation & Deal Economics
