Our mission is to promote opportunity, credibility, and real earning potential for serious private capital professionals. Deal Flow & Strategy Analysts focus on sourcing, evaluating, and supporting investments while providing strategic insight to maximize portfolio and fund performance.
Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Deal Flow & Strategy Analysts.
This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.
Once approved, Deal Flow & Strategy Analysts:
- Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
- Gain access to live deal flow and paid strategic analysis work
- Support investors, fund managers, and operators by identifying opportunities, analyzing transaction potential, and providing strategic recommendations
- Build a verified track record of deal sourcing and strategic evaluation along with an Analyst Rating Score
Certification tiers:
Senior Analyst · Lead Analyst · Analyst / Associate Analyst
Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background: Ex-investment banking, private equity, venture capital, senior consulting, or portfolio strategy professionals with 5+ years of experience
Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in deal evaluation, strategy, or portfolio analysis
Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical, modeling, and strategic evaluation skills
Deal Flow & Strategy Analysts are engaged based on category-specific approvals, earned through assessment and performance.
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Perform financial modeling, scenario analysis, and valuation for proposed deals
- Analyze risk-adjusted returns and strategic fit for portfolios
- Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations for investors and fund managers
- Support capital allocation decisions and portfolio optimization
- Conduct due diligence, commercial analysis, and operational reviews
- Provide recommendations for deal structuring, strategic exits, and growth initiatives
- Analysts may only perform work in categories for which they are approved.
- Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
- Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform
- Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal work
- No cold applications. No unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors, fund managers, and deal sponsors.
To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training
- Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:
- Platform visibility and access to deals and portfolios
- Approved work categories
- Recommended hourly rates
Scores are updated based on accuracy, thoroughness, and feedback from investors and fund managers.
Analysts are independent contractors, not employees
Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level
Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees
Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction
Payments issued only after successful completion of approved work
Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
- Provide investment advice
- Solicit securities
- Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
- All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and strategic support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
