Job summary

Vanguard seeks a Portfolio Control Analyst to support the daily publishing of IBOR exports to the Front Office and assist with fund reconciliations. The role focuses on timely fund-level processes, risk mitigation, and documentation of procedures to ensure accurate client reporting.

The candidate will collaborate with internal partners and clients, prepare routine reports, and participate in risk, contingency, and information security initiatives within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Publishes daily IBOR exports to Front Office and supports Fund Reconciliations.
  • Ensures timely completion of fund and investment operational tasks and maintains control of fund-level processes.
  • Identifies and mitigates operational risks by improving processes, controls and policies.
  • Maintains documentation for fund operation procedures and understands funds assigned.
  • Maintains relationships with internal and external clients and partners and anticipates client needs.
  • Prepares reporting for internal and external clients and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
  • Participates in Control and Risk Management, Contingency and Information Security efforts.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Job description

Serves as a Portfolio Control Analyst supporting the daily publishing of our Investment Book of Record (IBOR) exports to the Front Office in addition to supporting Fund Reconciliations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily fund and investment operational functions, maintains control of fund level processes and owns fund level tasks under general supervision. Ensures all tasks meet pre-established processes and service agreements.
  • Identifies, measures, manages, and monitors operational risks and proactively seeks to mitigate those risks by developing improved processes, policies, controls and relationships with internal partners.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for the group fund operation procedures. Works to maintain a comprehensive conceptual understanding of the funds as assigned.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external clients and business partners. Anticipates clients needs and ensures clients satisfaction related to the services being provided.
  • Prepares reporting for internal and external clients and maintains effective working relationships. Fosters effective communication and anticipates client needs and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Participates in Control and Risk Management, Contingency and Information Security efforts to mitigate business risks.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • One year related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
