Portfolio & Asset Management Manager

In this position, you will oversee portfolio and asset management activities for U.S. real estate investment and development projects, supporting existing asset performance, risk management, new investment initiatives, and reporting to corporate stakeholders while helping drive long-term business growth and investment returns.

Responsibilities

• Monitor existing real estate investments, including project performance, financial status, leasing, dispositions, refinancing activities, and capital requirements
• Coordinate with asset managers, property managers, joint venture partners, lenders, and external advisors
• Support underwriting and execution of new real estate investment and development opportunities
• Review business plans, market research, financial models, and investment analyses
• Assist in preparing investment memoranda and internal approval materials
• Track project risks and maintain portfolio management reports
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and management reporting materials
• Liaise with headquarters and internal stakeholders across multiple functions
• Organize investment-related documentation, contracts, meeting materials, and project records
• Support additional business and operational initiatives as required

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate investment, development, asset management, finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or related fields
• Ability to understand and analyze financial models, business plans, and market data
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Business-level English communication skills
• Japanese language proficiency sufficient to support reporting and communication with headquarters
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated professional with a willingness to learn and grow in new areas

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of joint ventures, lending structures, refinancing, dispositions, impairment analysis, and default situations is a plus
