XY Investment Solutions, LLC is an SEC registered investment advisor offering a comprehensive platform for independent, fee-only financial advisors. We offer two services, XYPN Invest and XYPN Sapphire. XYPN Invest is the Tamp offering for advisors who keep their own state- or SEC-registered investment advisory practices and outsource the trading and back office operations. XYPN Sapphire offers a completely different model for members to operate their firms under, freeing them of compliance, investment, and other burdens of running their firms independently. We’re looking for someone eager to pull up their sleeves and jump on a rocket ship.

About The Role

Our mission at XYPN Sapphire is to help our advisors live their great lives, by helping them focus on what they do best. What you do best (and what we take off their plate) is trading! You’ll play a pivotal role in our value offering to advisors by ensuring that the day-to-day trading needs of our advisor’s accounts are skillfully handled.

What You'll Be Doing

• Executing all trade requests within the defined service level agreement flawlessly
• Respond to trading-related inquiries from the Service Team in a timely manner
• Process trade instructions and run system recommended portfolio rebalances
• Review proposed trades for accuracy, submit to custodians for execution, and monitor trade status and allocations
• Confirm client portfolio allocation and instructions for households are set up correctly to initiate trading for new and existing clients
• Tracking your work in monday.com
• Produce portfolio analyses as requested by the portfolio management team
• Provide investment research reports to PM team on specific asset classes or model holdings
• Participate in firm generated investment content
• Maintain our model materials and due diligence records, including our Model Due Diligence Kit
• Assist in any needs of the investment policy committee
• Your role will be divided with the following focus:
• 40% Trading
• 40% Investment Research
• 20% Projects w/ focus on automating processes

The Deets

Start Date: June 30, 2025 or after

Status: Full-time (40-45 hours per week with working hours overlapping with availability for market trading)

Location: Bozeman, MT

Overtime Status: Non-exempt (i.e., overtime eligible)

Team: XYPN Invest

Reports To: Director of Investment Services

Direct reports: None

Travel: Up to 10% travel (e.g., 2-3 weeks /year) required for team retreats and other company events

What You'll Bring To The Table

(If you think, “I only meet 80% of these qualifications,” still apply!)

• 2+ years experience either:
• placing trades at a large custodian
• performing investment research, with an asset-class specific focus
• You have a knack for noticing small discrepancies; you fill crucial information into forms (like account numbers!) with little to no error. You proofread your work before submitting it.
• Tech-savviness and the ability to pick up new technology.
• You can work under tight deadlines without even breaking a sweat as you flex your brag-worthy time management skills.
• Familiarity in self-directing your days—you can manage your projects and tasks, seek out support, and re-prioritize as needed.
• You hold Series 7 & 66, or Series 65
• Legally authorized to live and work in the United States without present or future need for sponsorship.

• Experience using Orion and their trading software, Eclipse
• Experience working with Charles Schwab
• You’re already using Ai tools
• You’ve passed CFA Level 1 and are enrolled in level 2

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $55,000 - $76,000
• All team members at XYPN are owners! We offer a 100%- employer-funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
• Unlimited vacation days to maintain work-life harmony (we require that you take a minimum of 3 weeks of vacation per year)
• 9 paid holidays (we offer flexible holidays!)
