Job summary

Brown Advisory in Norfolk seeks a proactive Portfolio Analyst to support balanced multi-asset portfolios and assist in delivering sophisticated investment solutions. You will facilitate information flow to portfolio managers, help craft investment strategies, and coordinate with the investment team to meet client objectives.

The ideal candidate has strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, a growth mindset, and a passion for financial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related subject.
• Progress towards or completion of MBA, CFA and/or Equity Analyst experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in portfolio management activities for Balanced multi-asset class portfolios.
• Ensure that portfolio managers have adequate information to perform daily portfolio management duties.
• Develop investment strategies for clients in coordination with the Portfolio Management team and the Investment Solutions Group.
• Assist in the management of all aspects of client relationships, including communication, trading and coordination with Portfolio Managers, Strategic Advisors, Client Service and Marketing.
