Job summary

Vident Asset Management, LLC is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our team in the greater Atlanta area. You will support ETF and mutual fund management, conduct portfolio construction, and assist with trade reviews and risk monitoring.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Finance or related field, 2+ years in investment management, and CFA considerations. Strong Excel and Bloomberg Port experience is valued; collaboration and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in the investment management field or related academic study.
• CFA Charter (pursuit or holder).
• Excellent problem solving, communication and analytical skills.
• Expert Microsoft Excel user and strong Office skills.
• Experience with Bloomberg Port.

Responsibilities

• Support management of fund portfolios including account set up, daily reconciliation, ETF creation and redemption, portfolio management, and trading.
• Understand index data workflow and calculation.
• Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions.
• Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions.
• Support client requests including portfolio review and client reporting.
• Produce regular internal and client-facing reports.
• Collaborate with fund operation team on reconciliation issues.
• Participate in presentations and conference calls.

Vident Asset Management, LLC is excited to expand our team with a Portfolio Analyst position. This person would join our team locally in the greater Atlanta area. This position will work closely with our dynamic trading and portfolio management teams both locally and virtually.

What you’ll do:

The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for managing and supporting ETF and mutual fund management. The Portfolio Analyst supports all investment related aspects of fund products including product research, implementation, portfolio construction, trade review, risk management, and performance monitor. The successful candidate will be well versed in trade workflow and portfolio management. The position requires attention to detail and curiosity, seeking to understand and clarify fund investment objectives. The position requires close collaboration and teamwork in a small team setting and across the organization.

• Support the management of fund portfolios including account set up, daily reconciliation, ETF creation and redemption, portfolio management, custom inkind redemption, and portfolio trading.
• Understand index data workflow and calculation
• Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions
• Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions
• Support client requests ranging from sample portfolio review to client reporting
• Perform regular reporting for internal and client use
• Perform tracking difference reporting
• Work with the fund operation team to help with reconciliation breaks.
• Participate in presentations and conference calls
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Who you are:

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar
• You have 2+ years of experience in the investment management field or related academic study
• You possess or are working to obtain your CFA Charter
• Hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment

• Team player with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
