Job summary

Wall Street Alliance Group is a growing wealth management and financial planning firm seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join the investment team in a hands-on role with responsibility for portfolio analysis, trading, rebalancing, investment research, and performance evaluation, with a long-term path to Senior Portfolio Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant investment, portfolio management, trading, wealth management, or research experience.
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license required.
  • Strong understanding of equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income, asset allocation, and portfolio construction.
  • Hands-on experience with portfolio rebalancing and trade execution.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, valuations, investment fundamentals, and portfolio risk.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quarterly portfolio rebalancing across client accounts.
  • Execute and monitor equity, ETF, mutual fund, and fixed-income trades.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and critiques, identifying allocation gaps, concentration risk, performance issues, and opportunities.
  • Analyze individual securities, sectors, ETFs, asset classes, and investment strategies.
  • Conduct fundamental investment research, including financial statement, earnings, valuation, and industry analysis.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against appropriate benchmarks.
  • Prepare performance attribution and risk analysis.
  • Monitor beta, volatility, standard deviation, downside risk, and portfolio concentration.
  • Assist with security selection and buy, hold, reduce, or sell recommendations.
  • Review portfolios for tax-loss harvesting, capital-gain considerations, and other tax-efficient trading opportunities.
  • Evaluate concentrated stock positions and assist with transition strategies.
  • Maintain and monitor model portfolios and target asset allocations.
  • Monitor market conditions, interest rates, valuations, economic trends, and sector developments.
  • Participate in investment committee discussions.
  • Review new client portfolios and recommend transition and allocation strategies.
  • Prepare investment analysis and portfolio materials for advisor and client meetings.
  • Work closely with financial advisors, operations, compliance, and firm leadership.

Wall Street Alliance Group is a growing wealth management and financial planning firm with approximately $1.4 billion in client assets as of August 10,2026. We serve high-net-worth individuals, families, physicians, and business owners through a comprehensive approach to investment management and financial planning.

We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join our investment team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for portfolio analysis, trading, rebalancing, investment research, and performance evaluation, with a long-term career path toward becoming a Senior Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quarterly portfolio rebalancing across client accounts.

  • Experience with portfolio management, trading, custodial, and performance reporting platforms.
