Job description

The Porter position is responsible for delivering, maintaining, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring a sufficient supply of products at the venue. Responsibilities include assisting in setting up and breaking down functions as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Wash all china, glassware, and silverware.
2. Clean all equipment, pots, and pans before, during, and after events.
3. Store all equipment properly.
4. Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and office areas.
5. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
6. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including safety training.
7. Transport food and equipment throughout the venue as needed.
8. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as required.
9. Keep assigned areas clean and organized.
10. Perform routine inventory checks daily.
11. Ensure timely delivery of requisitions.
12. Assist with deliveries and stock storerooms and side stations.
13. Provide professional assistance to team members.
14. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned by the Chef.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Flexible schedule to work all venue events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Punctuality and dependability.
• Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards.
• Sufficient mobility to perform tasks including standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 10-50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service preferred.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a team setting.

Pay rate: $21.00/hr
