Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Porters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, rooftops, and back-of-house areas, ensuring compliance with sanitation and company standards. They handle multiple daily responsibilities, demonstrate a willingness to learn and follow directions, and work effectively in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Sweep and mop floors in assigned areas
  2. Clean and sanitize equipment
  3. Monitor, clean, and empty trash cans
  4. Collect debris such as cups, cans, and flatware
  5. Ensure floors are free of debris and trash
  6. Complete housekeeping tasks as directed by management
  7. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
  8. Monitor the use and inventory of supplies and equipment
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
  • Ability to stand and move at a steady pace for the duration of a shift
  • Work may be indoors or outdoors, in high or low temperatures
  • Work environment may be hot, cold, noisy, or confined
  • Tasks involve standing, moving, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 20 pounds
  • Constant interaction with guests and team members
  • Schedule may exceed 30 hours per week, including overtime with management approval
  • Work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to environmental factors such as smoke, noise, flashing lights, and guest interactions in a fast-paced setting
