Job summary

AutoNation in Memphis is seeking a Service Porter to support vehicle maintenance and service activities. You will assist with service write-ups, tagging, and ensuring vehicles are ready for customers. This role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

You will remove coverings, inspect for damage, transport personnel and vehicles, and assist with deliveries. AutoNation offers competitive pay, benefits, and a focus on customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of previous work experience preferred.
• Read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages and report any damage immediately.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform deliveries as required.
• Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean and the lot neat and orderly.
• Return vehicle keys to the service consultant.
• Test batteries of customer vehicles in service drive.
• Maintain building and grounds as needed; assist with shop clean-up and deliveries.
