Job summary

Imperial Imports, Inc. seeks a Service Porter to support our automotive service area. You will move and clean vehicles, ensure lots are organized, and assist the Service Director to maintain high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must have a valid California driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle preferred but not required.
• Experience in a dealership environment preferred.
• Bilingual a plus but not required.
• Able to multitask in a demanding environment.
• Authorized to work in the USA and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service vehicle inventory appearance by cleaning exteriors and interiors.
• Place service tags on vehicles and move cars as directed.
• Keep lots neat and orderly per dealership standards.
• Sweep, shovel or vacuum debris and dispose of waste.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, stalls, and parking area.

In this position you would be responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles; keeping the vehicles in sound working condition; and helping the service director as requested. You will report directly to the Service Director.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Must a have valid California driver's license for a minimum of 3 years, and eligible for coverage under dealership insurance policy, required
• Ability to drive a standard vehicle, preferred but not necessary
• Previous dealership equivalent working experience, preferred
• Bilingual, preferred but not necessary
• Ability to multitask in a demanding environment
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license.

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Maintains service vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning exterior of vehicles.
• Places service tags in vehicles.
• Keeps vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the service director and according to dealership display standards.
• Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.
• Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
