WHAT DO PORTERS DO?

Porters perform a variety of tasks to ensure that businesses operate in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Similar to custodians and janitors, porters are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety within buildings. Their duties may include cleaning floors using industrial equipment, picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and stocking bathrooms. Additionally, porters might run errands, deliver items, move stock, or assist with other tasks as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements:

• State Card Room License is required and can be obtained at the time of hiring.
• Must be energetic, outgoing, and able to relate well to co-workers and patrons.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• May require lifting under 40 lbs., as well as standing and walking for extended periods.
• Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, and weather conditions, with some work outdoors.

Rate: Starting at $13/hr plus shift differential.
