About the Community

Affordable luxury community with 147 units located in Austin, Texas.

About the Position

Full-time; hourly pay starting at $17/hr plus quarterly bonus and renewal bonus potential.

Summary and Responsibilities

The Make-ready/Porter reports directly to the Community Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds, completing make-readies/turnovers (painting, repairs, carpentry, etc.), assisting the Maintenance Technician, and representing DMA positively by adhering to quality standards and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications for Success

• At least 1 year of make-ready and porter experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, and delegate tasks.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
• Willingness to travel to other DMA properties as needed.
• Professional skills including adaptability, compassion, dedication, empathy, honesty, integrity, patience, reliability, respect, responsibility, self-confidence, and strong communication skills.
• Skills such as analyzing, collaboration, computer literacy, conflict resolution, creativity, critical thinking, decision-making, emotional intelligence, organizational skills, planning, multitasking, and teamwork.

Working Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves strenuous physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Tasks may be outdoors in various weather conditions and involve exposure to chemicals and safety hazards, requiring safety equipment like goggles, gloves, and boots. The employee must be able to communicate effectively and operate tools and equipment safely.
