Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Jericho, NY is seeking a Porter to maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our residents. You will clean common areas across the community and assist the Director of Housekeeping as needed, contributing to high-quality hospitality for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Upbeat, friendly, courteous demeanor when dealing with peers, residents and management.
• Consistent, reliable, and thorough with cleaning practices.
• Able to excel in fast-paced cleaning environments.
• Experience in restaurant, healthcare, hospital, hotel, hospitality or related industry is a plus.
• Prior experience working with a senior population is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas (bathrooms, function rooms, stairways, hallways, parking lot, sidewalks, windows, carpets, floors).
• Clean assigned common areas per Director of Housekeeping guidelines and assist Director when needed.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and snow removal as required.
