Job summary

Pullman Market in San Antonio is seeking a Porter to support our restaurant operations. This role keeps kitchen and service areas clean, stocked, and functioning smoothly, enabling the guest experience to shine.

You will assist with receiving and stocking supplies, help with event prep, and monitor safety and cleanliness. This is a hands-on back-of-house position requiring reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchens, dish stations, service areas, and storage spaces.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies for culinary and FOH teams.
• Transport items such as linens, ingredients, trash, and recycling between prep and service areas.
• Clean and reset common-use areas, restrooms, and service zones throughout shifts.
• Assist with event or service prep and breakdown tasks, including resetting floors and moving furniture or equipment.
• Help monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Notify managers of any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.

Working Conditions:

• A typical work week for this position is 40-45 hours. Hours vary based on needs of the market and the department.
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting objects up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist movements.
• Exposure to hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment is possible.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers may be required.
