POSITION SUMMARY: The porter will assist the Maintenance Superintendent in the daily upkeep of the building and grounds and perform duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.

PROPERTY: Gardens at Town Center

• Perform maintenance and cleaning on grounds, parking lots, apartments, office, laundry facilities, community restrooms, and common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and glass cleaning.
• Implement the Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
• Report building damage, vandalism, unusual circumstances, and incidents in writing to the Community Leader.
• Monitor site lighting and report issues.
• Maintain records as required.
• Remove trash as needed.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of janitorial and sanitation supplies.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Ability to work well with others, good communication skills, and ability to multi-task.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Use hands to manipulate tools and equipment. Frequently stand, reach, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand during maintenance work. Lift and move supplies and equipment up to 75 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS: Work is performed in apartments, common areas, and on the property. Frequent interaction with residents and staff.

This position may require performing other duties as assigned, in accordance with applicable laws.
