Who You Are

We seek a candidate with a positive attitude towards customer service to serve as a Janitor for our resident facilities. You should have a genuine interest in geriatric care, be able to motivate others, and maintain good relationships with staff and residents. The ideal candidate strives for excellence, creativity, and facility goal achievement.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Janitor is responsible for daily cleaning and maintaining the appearance of common and non-residential areas. Duties may include assisting with move-in preparations, furniture and appliance moving, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine and periodic cleaning of corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, utility rooms, etc., following prescribed standards. Tasks include floor care (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing), trash removal, window washing, high and low dusting, and surface cleaning.
  2. Polish grounds by removing trash, washing windows, assisting with baggage carrying, cleaning carpets, and supporting housekeepers with resident homes.
  3. Support cleanup efforts for leaks, spills, floods, and fire incidents.
  4. Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  5. Demonstrate community hospitality towards residents, families, staff, and vendors.
