Job summary

A leading hospitality provider in Chicago is seeking a Porter for United Lounges at United Airlines ORD Terminal. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety, including bussing tables, transporting dishes, and washing equipment. Ideal candidates possess experience in high-traffic environments and knowledge of HACCP standards. Benefits include union membership, health insurance, and a 50-cent hourly increase after six months. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility with days and hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with high-traffic receiving deliveries, FIFO, and pallet breakdowns.
• Knowledge of safety practices and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tables are bussed, cleared, cleaned, and floors are swept during peak service times.
• Transport dishes and utensils from front‑of‑house to kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
• Wash dishes, glasses, pots, and cooking equipment, maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scrape, rinse, and properly place food in racks or conveyor for dishwashing.
• Maintain clean display equipment, free of debris, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in receiving heavy deliveries and transporting them to designated storage areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including proper presentation and portion control.
• Commit to personal safety and the safety of others.

Location: Chicago, IL 60666.

Schedule: Full‑time, flexible days and hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $22.00 per hour.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure tables are bussed, cleared, cleaned, and floors are swept during peak service times.
• Transport dishes and utensils from front‑of‑house to kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts, following safety procedures.
• Wash dishes, glasses, pots, and cooking equipment, maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scrape, rinse, and properly place food in racks or conveyor for dishwashing, ensuring complete cleanliness.
• Maintain clean display equipment, free of debris, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in receiving heavy deliveries from the dock and transporting them to designated storage areas while adhering to safe lifting standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
• Commit to personal safety and the safety of others, abiding by company policies and procedures.
