Job summary

Regency House, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates in Wallingford, CT, is seeking a Porter/Floor Technician on a per-diem basis. You will help create a clean, healing environment for residents and visitors, supporting the housekeeping and environmental services team.

This entry-level position offers a growth path in long-term care, with training provided and opportunities to learn more about care operations while earning.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.

What You'll Do:

As a Porter/Floor Technician the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispose of trash and waste
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
