Job summary

Martin's Wine Cellar in Baton Rouge is seeking a Porter/Dishwasher to join our team. You will operate an industrial dishwasher, wash dishes by hand when needed, and assist kitchen staff during peak hours.

Responsibilities include unloading and storing ware, basic cleaning, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. A reliable, self-starting candidate with flexible hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a janitor, housekeeper, or with maintenance preferred.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Flexible work availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial dishwasher.
• Wash dishes and glassware by hand when necessary.
• Unload and store dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Basic cleaning tasks including clearing tables, emptying trash cans, cleaning drink machines, and cleaning spills and broken glass immediately.
• Assist cooks and servers as needed, especially during peak hours.
• Ensure safety regulations are met.
