The position offers non-exempt status with pay of $16.00 per hour, with shifts at Recreation Center, Department of Public Works, and Health Department evenings, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• One year of janitorial experiences (preferred but not required)
• Ability to get to job site for required shifts

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using specific cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.

Location/Shift:

• Recreation Center - Monday through Friday 3:30pm - 5:00pm
• Department of Public Works - Monday through Friday 5:00pm - 7:00pm
• Health Department - Tuesday & Thursday 7:00pm - 9:30pm

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
