Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Porter to support repairs by pre-washing customer vehicles and maintaining the cleanliness of shop and office spaces. The role includes transporting vehicles to sublet locations, and ensuring exterior and interior cleanup after repairs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to multitask, and possess a valid driver’s license with strong attention to detail. Automotive experience is preferred and vision must be clear.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior and production area including trash emptying and dusting surfaces.
• Pre-washes vehicle interiors before repairs and cleans vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition; shovel sidewalks when needed.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.

• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.

• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary

• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.

• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete

• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred

• Ability to multitask

• Automotive experience preferred

• Clear close vision required

• 18 years or age or older

• Valid Driver’s license

• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details:
