Join our dynamic team at Stratum as a Porter and play a pivotal role in maintaining one of our premier properties. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for cleanliness, upkeep, and ensuring an excellent living environment for residents.

Position: Porter

Location: Eastpark Apartment Homes at 114 Greencrest Street, Salem, OR 97301

Eastpark Apartment Homes

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 60-minute lunch

Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Eligible for monthly bonus through Stratum’s Lease-Up Incentive Bonus Plan)

Classification: Non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay

As a Porter at Eastpark Apartment Homes, you will play a critical role in maintaining the property’s appearance and cleanliness. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include cleaning and upkeep of common areas, supporting curb appeal, assisting with light maintenance, and preparing units for new residents. Porter Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including leasing offices, clubhouses, fitness centers, laundry rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
• Ensure the exterior of the property, including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas, is free from litter and debris.
• Assist in preparing vacant units for new residents by performing light cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Conduct daily property inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance concerns, promptly reporting any issues.
• Perform light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and minor painting.
• Support groundskeeping efforts, including lawn care, pressure washing, and seasonal landscaping needs.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up after community events.
• Ensure proper care and usage of cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• Uphold excellent customer service standards while interacting with residents and guests.

Porter Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in janitorial, maintenance, or groundskeeping roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• Ability to drive a golf cart, lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
