Armature Works is looking for a Porter to assist with keeping our restaurant location in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors/managers
• Previous job references are required
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in the porter or janitorial field is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Remain standing for extended periods
• Bending, squatting, and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances
• Ability to work with varying noise levels
