Description
Arizona Traditions is looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic person to be their onsite Maintenance Technician.
Located in Surprise, Arizona, Arizona Traditions is a 55+, guard-gated active adult community of 1,768 homes. The community has three community centers, a softball field, tennis and pickleball courts, and an 18-hole golf course that winds through the community.
Position Responsibilities:
- Common area inspection each day & report any damage to include the community center, retreat and the neighborhood center.
- Janitorial duties to include replenishing toilet paper and soap.
- Check all exterior building, pool and interior trash bins each morning.
- Maintenance and inspection of carts on Fridays of every week.
- Wipe down pool railings, tables and furniture daily.
- Cleaning trash bins monthly.
- Power washing travertine tile and sidewalks around buildings weekly or as needed.
- Arrange social room furniture before & meetings and events.
- Check and clean up around dumpsters weekly.
- Complete assigned maintenance service requests.
- Properly operate, maintain and store all maintenance equipment.
- Perform other related duties as directed.

- Able to follow direction with minimal supervision and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service/hospitality skills.
- Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to details.
- Ability to interact and work positively and effectively with staff and residents at all levels.
- High School Diploma or GED and six (6) months of experience in a similar role completing light building maintenance, or hospitality duties.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Works indoors and outdoors.
- Requires physical ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, squat and bend.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, in crowded areas and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces, in hot, cold and wet conditions, climb and stand on ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs multiple times a day.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education

High School or better.
Experience

High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in a similar role completing janitorial services, light maintenance (changing light bulbs, painting), and/or event setup/take down.
