Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Porter to support vehicle preparation and shop cleanliness. The role ensures customer vehicles are pre-washed before repairs, and post-repair cleaned, with attention to detail and safety.

You will help maintain both the office and production areas in a tidy state. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Maintain daily office and production area cleanliness, including waste disposal and dusting.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition; assist with pre-wash and post-repair cleanup.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs as needed.
• Assist with handling and movement of customer vehicles during repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.


• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.


• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.


• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary


• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.


• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete


• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred


• Ability to multitask


• Automotive experience preferred


• Clear close vision required


• 18 years or age or older


• Valid Driver's license


• Strong attention to detail
